Key Florida business leaders show French companies and individuals that “Florida is a great place to do business.”
Florida’s housing market and economy are on the rise. This boom in Florida and Miami in particular has perked the interest of Florida Governor Rick Scott. He accompanied executives from Florida Realtors on a week long visit to France. Together they attended a June trade mission at the 50th International Paris Air Show. Representatives from about 80 Florida-based aviation, aerospace and defense companies, educational institutions and economic development agencies participated in the bi-annual Paris Air Show, which is recognized as one of the world’s top aviation and space industry events, according to Enterprise Florida.
Gov. Rick Scott and key business leaders showed French companies and individuals that Florida is a great place to do business and a great place to live. The purpose of the governor’s trade missions is to encourage business investment in Florida. The Governor and the realtors know that when companies make business investments it creates many opportunities for growth in areas of jobs, housing, and the accompanying services and cultural activities needed to support the businesses. In always this strengthens the state.
Attendance at this aviation conference befit’s the industries huge presence in Florida which is home to one of the largest aerospace and aviation industries in the country. The industry employs more than 87,000 workers across Florida in 2,000 companies related to the industry, 12 aviation military bases, three spaceports and dozens of colleges and academic programs that offer aerospace and aviation training. Members of the French national real estate federation to discuss expanding the ties between the two associations, and developing more real estate opportunities. French buyers see Florida as a great destination for a second home. “According to Florida Realtors’ latest research (the 2012 Profile of International Home Buyers in Florida), buyers from France are investing all over the state. Of international buyers in Florida: French nationals represent 5% in the Miami 5% in Orlando, 6% in Bradenton-Sarasota-Venice, and 10% in Palm Beach.
Florida’s housing market and economy are on the rise, and it is clear that the policies being implementing to create opportunities for buyers and sellers of Florida properties are working.
